In 2023, I had the opportunity to assist a friend with designing an addition to their existing farmhouse. They approached me with hand-drawn sketches and ideas but needed help refining these concepts into well-functioning spaces. While they had a clear vision, they wanted to see the design come to life before committing to the build.

The process began by creating accurate drawings and a digital model of the existing house. Fortunately, my client had the original house plans, which streamlined the initial steps. After field-verifying and adjusting a few dimensions, I proceeded to model the proposed addition.

To help my client visualize the transformation, I created detailed renderings of the new space. We collaborated closely, experimenting with various material options for the exterior until they were fully satisfied with the design. Once the final look and layout were approved, I provided the builder with the necessary drawings and renderings to move forward with construction.

This project was particularly exciting for me as it marked the first time I managed a design entirely on my own, relying on my skills and techniques to deliver a successful outcome. It was incredibly rewarding to work closely with a friend and help turn their vision into reality.
